We are looking for a caring, friendly person to plan, organise and offer a range of activities, outings and events for people living with dementia and their carers in the St Helens area. You will provide support, guidance and information for people living with dementia and their carers in person and over the phone and signpost them to appropriate organisations in their area. You will also support our wider welfare activities.

We are looking for a caring, friendly person to drive a minibus to convey guests to our Day Centre at Ruskin Lodge in St Helens. You will assist the Day Centre Organiser in arranging and delivering a varied programme of activities for our Day Centre guests, ensuring their mental, physical and social needs are meet. This will also include arranging trips and outings.

Pilkington Ramblers was founded in 1988 for Pilkington retirees and friends to regularly keep active and to socialise. They hold a monthly coffee morning at the Wicket on Ruskin Drive and undertake a walk each month. Currently the group has 60 members.
Key responsibilities of a Volunteer Walk Leader:
Location of Walks
Coach Trips, April – October
The group organise a coach to visit areas a maximum of 1.5 hours away.
Walk leaders need to be available from 9.15am until 6.30pm on the day of the walk.
Local walks
November – March
These take place locally with no transport provided.
All out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed including travel and food.
